Location: Puntarenas Province, main district of Puntarenas.
Tambor sits on a bay with a gently sloping
beach offering easy waves and crystal-clear waters. There
are points on both ends of the beach, a shelved coastline
that still conserves its vegetation and a large area of mangroves.
The beach is known for sun, sand, surf and
diving near the points, as well as good fishing.
