Location: Guanacaste Province in the Northern Pacific,
just 36 km north of Liberia.
Within this park are the La Casona monument and the Colonial Stone Corrals, the scene of the
Battle of Santa Rosa on March 20, 1856, along with a total
of 10 different microclimates found in the dry Pacific region.
Numerous plant and animal species have been
discovered here, including 750 plants, 115 mammals, 253 birds,
100 reptiles and more than 300 species of butterflies.

Here you will also find Naranjo and Nancite
beaches, with the latter being very important for the nesting
of olive ridley, leatherback and green sea turtles.
